Normally, you should hear a short alarm and receive a pop-up message whenever your fasting period starts or ends. You can adjust additional notification settings in the Me tab of the app.
If notifications aren’t working, try the following steps:
1. Check the Basics in BodyFast
- Open the Me tab in the app.
- Switch notifications off and on again.
- Make sure that a fasting week has been started. Notifications are only sent during an active fasting week.
2. Check your System Settings
Ensure your phone hasn't blocked BodyFast on a system level:
- Permissions: Go to your phone's Settings > Apps > BodyFast > Notifications and ensure all toggles are "On".
- Focus / Do Not Disturb: Make sure these modes are disabled, as they silence all alerts.
- Power Saving Mode: High energy-saving modes often kill background tasks like notifications. Try disabling it or adding BodyFast to the "Exceptions" list.
🔋 Android Battery Optimization: Go to your phone's Settings > Apps > BodyFast > Battery and ensure it is set to "Unrestricted" or "Allow background activity".
3. Check for Third-Party Apps
Some security, antivirus, or battery optimization apps can block BodyFast from sending notifications.
Temporarily disable these apps or add BodyFast to their "Whitelist" or "Allowed Apps" list to ensure our reminders can get through.
4. Update your Device
- On Android, older versions may cause notification issues.
- If possible, update to the latest operating system version.
5. Restart & Update
If everything looks correct, try the "Golden Rule":
- Update BodyFast to the latest version.
- Restart your device.
