The Food Scanner helps you quickly analyze meals, snacks, or drinks by taking a photo. The integrated AI then identifies the food and shows you helpful nutritional information.
💡 Good to know: We’re constantly improving the Food Scanner to provide you with even more accurate results and new features. As a result, some of the images or details in this article may not exactly match what you currently see in the app.
How to scan food
- Open the Food Scanner tab at the bottom of the app.
- Tap “Scan now”.
- Take a photo of your food, drink, or snack.
The app will analyze the image and generate a result.
What information will I see?
After the scan, you’ll see an overview that may include:
- Title of the identified food
- A short description
- A nutrition score
- Nutritional information
- Ingredients
- Food facts highlighting beneficial ingredients or nutritional properties
Saving your scans
After reviewing the result, you can choose to:
- Save the scan to keep it for later, or
- Discard it if you don’t want to store it.
Saved scans are always available in the Scan tab, where you can view them again anytime.
Scan limits
- Free users have a limited number of scans per week.
- The number of available scans refills automatically after a certain waiting period.
- Coach users have a much higher limit of scans compared to free users, allowing more frequent use of the Food Scanner.
This way, everyone can try the feature, while Coach users benefit from extended access.
