Normally, you should receive a sound alert and a text notification when your fasting period starts or ends. You can adjust additional settings in the "More" tab of the app.
In most cases, the following steps help:

Turn notifications off and back on again in the app.

Check in your phone's settings (Settings → Apps → BodyFast → Notifications) whether the app has permission to send notifications.

Check if you have a third-party security or antivirus app installed that might block notifications.

Completely close the app and restart your phone.
Also, make sure that the power-saving mode on your phone is disabled, as it can suppress notifications.
